The Official 519Pledge For Socks is coming to an end and that means that we need to get all of the new pairs of socks from our community members partipating and onto the feet of our friends in need in the community.
The Official Sock Drop is an event that is hosted in a drive thru style to make for an easy expereince. 519Pursuit has set out a goal to raise over 100,000 pairs of socks – on this day it is the hopes that they can count their ways to 100,000 and more. Those who have been participating in The 519Pledge For Socks are invited to bring their sock donations between 10:30am – 1:30pm. The ask is those coming to the event have a total count of the pairs they are bringing to donate prior to coming. When arriving at the event you will pull up to the 519Pursuit tent and check in with volunteers – remain in your vehicle and follow the instructions given. We ask those coming drive slow and be mindful of the volunteers that are around in the parking lot that day.
If you have not been participating in The 519Pledge For Socks but wish to donate new pairs of socks to support those facing extreme poverty and homelessness in our community this winter – we invite you to come. Buy a pack or a pair of socks and show up to our Official Sock Drop!
Find the 519Pursuit tent near the Rectory entrance (to the left) of 900 King st (the main parking lot at The Western Fair District). It is best to enter the parking lot from the Rectory St entrance as it is a large parking lot.
